At EdPlus, we are dedicated to providing the highest level of service to honor students who receive special education services. We understand that each child is unique and requires specialized instruction and support. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential; no matter their demographic, students should have a school experience that empowers them to live fully and freely!

We are committed to training, coaching and educating the adults who support our students' social, emotional and academic growth. Whether you are a parent, teacher, or administrator, we want to equip you with the tools and strategies necessary to ensure your student's success.

Pennie M. Gregory

Pennie Gregory was born in Incheon, South Korea and raised in Gary, Indiana. She has decades of experience leading efforts to improve outcomes for students with disabilities first as a special education teacher and then as a school district special education administrator. Pennie earned her undergraduate B.S. degree from Ball State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University. In 2022, she accepted admittance to the Doctor of Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and began full-time study in the fall of 2022.

Pennie grew up with a mother who could not speak or write English fluently and a father who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Through her experiences with her parents she learned that the potential of the human spirit cannot be measured; with support, patience and love anything is possible! As a teacher, she realized this time and time again as she saw her students soar far beyond what was written in school records and what was believed by many of the adults supporting them.

Beginning her career as a third-grade teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools in 1999, Pennie has over 20 years of experience as an educator. She has previously served as a Lead Special Education Specialist for Indianapolis Public Schools, the Coordinator of Exceptional Learners for Tindley Schools Charter Network, and most recently as the Assistant Director of Secondary Special Services for the MSD of Wayne Township in Indianapolis, IN. She was an executive member of the Indiana Council of Administrators of Special Education (ICASE) and served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair. She helped to create Indiana's first Aspiring Special Education Leadership Institute (ASELI) and served as its Director. Pennie is the Capacity Events Director for MelanatED Leaders, an organization created to support educational leaders of color in Indianapolis.

Pennie founded EdPlus LLC, a company dedicated to a higher level of service to honor students who receive special education services, because she believes that given the right training, coaching and resources the adults who support students with disabilities can create the conditions needed to cultivate amazing educational experiences that will shape the success of their social, emotional and academic growth.
